Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your use of the Techniq AI mobile application (the "App") and our website at techniqai.app (together, the "Service"), provided by Techniq AI ("Techniq AI", "we", "us", or "our").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the European Economic Area) to use the Service. By using the Service you confirm that you meet this age requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are under the legal age of majority where you live, you may only use the Service with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

To use the core features of the Service you need to create an account. You are responsible for:

3. The Service

Techniq AI lets you record or upload short videos of your throws (discus, shot put, hammer, javelin) and receive AI-generated technique feedback, scores, priority fixes, and recommended drills. The Service is provided as-is and may evolve over time — we may add, change, or remove features at our discretion.

4. Subscriptions, Trials, and Payments

Access to the Service requires a paid subscription. Current plans, pricing, and trial terms are shown in the App at the point of purchase.

4.1 Auto-renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Your payment method on file with Apple or Google will be charged for each renewal.

4.2 Free trial

If your plan includes a free trial, your subscription will begin immediately after the trial ends and your payment method will be charged unless you cancel before the trial ends. You may only use a free trial once.

4.3 Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple App Store or Google Play Store account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then. We do not process cancellations directly.

4.4 Refunds

All subscription payments are processed by Apple and Google and are subject to their respective refund policies. To request a refund, contact Apple Support or Google Play Support. We are unable to issue refunds directly.

4.5 Price changes

We may change subscription prices from time to time. Any price change will apply to billing periods that begin after the change and will not affect any period you have already paid for. We will give you reasonable notice before a price change takes effect.

5. Your Content

"Your Content" means the videos you record or upload, and any other material you submit to the Service.

5.1 Ownership

You retain all rights to Your Content. We do not claim ownership of your videos.

5.2 Limited license to us

By submitting Your Content to the Service, you grant Techniq AI a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, and analyze Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you (for example, running the AI analysis, generating your feedback, and storing your history). This license ends when you delete Your Content or your account, subject to our retention practices described in the Privacy Policy.

5.3 Your responsibility

You are solely responsible for Your Content and confirm that:

7. Important Notice About Physical Activity

Techniq AI provides technique feedback for educational and training purposes only. It is not medical advice, physical therapy, or a substitute for working with a qualified coach, physician, or other professional.

Throwing events involve physical exertion and risk of injury. You participate in any training, drills, or activities suggested by the Service entirely at your own risk. Before starting any new training routine or attempting a drill recommended by the Service, consult a qualified coach or healthcare provider, especially if you have any pre-existing condition, are pregnant, or are returning from injury. If you experience pain or discomfort, stop immediately and seek professional advice.

8. AI Analysis — Accuracy and Limitations

The Service uses AI to analyze your throw videos. While we strive for useful and accurate feedback, AI analysis has limitations and may produce results that are incomplete, inaccurate, or otherwise imperfect. The Service is provided as a training aid; you should use your own judgment (and, where possible, the judgment of a qualified coach) when acting on its feedback.

9. Our Intellectual Property

The Service, including the App, the website, the Techniq AI name and logo, and all related content (excluding Your Content), is owned by Techniq AI and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.

10. Third-Party Services

The Service may link to or integrate with third-party services (for example, the Apple App Store or Google Play Store). We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party service. Your use of any third-party service is governed by that third party's own terms and privacy policy.

11. Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time by deleting your account from within the App or by contacting support@techniqai.app.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or if we are required to do so by law. If we terminate your account for reasons other than your breach of these Terms, and you have prepaid for a subscription period, we will refund the unused portion to the extent required by applicable law.

12. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any defects will be corrected.

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law that cannot be waived by contract.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Techniq AI and its directors, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid to us for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) €50.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above may not apply to you.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you within the App or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved by the competent courts of Lithuania, except where mandatory consumer protection law gives you the right to bring a claim in the courts of your country of residence.

If you are an EU consumer, you may also pursue dispute resolution through the national consumer protection body in your country of residence.
